As a Michigan Catholic wedding videographer, and photographer, I know a wedding day is a whirlwind of amazing moments and all the feels. For Kelli and Matthew, their recent wedding was a beautiful story I was so happy to help tell, capturing everything with a unique hybrid approach of photography and videography. From the gorgeous St. Martin de Porres Church in Warren, Michigan, to the peaceful setting of Quarton Lake in Birmingham, their day was the perfect mix of tradition and natural beauty.
As a Catholic wedding photographer, and videographer, I know how special a Catholic wedding is. There was so much sacredness in a marriage day and their day wedding day was nothing short of that. Like every wedding, or Catholic event, my goal was to capture both the timeless feel of the photos and the live emotion of the video.
Michigan Catholic wedding videographer – One person to cover it all…
Remote cameras
To make sure I didn’t miss a thing, I used a few remote cameras placed strategically around the church. This let me capture multiple angles of the ceremony at once, from a wide shot of the whole church as Kelli walked down the aisle to a close-up of Matthew’s reaction. It gave them a truly complete view of their ceremony.
Hybrid Wedding Package
I love offering this hybrid package—it’s the best of both worlds, all from one person! Photos are great for remembering a moment forever, but video lets you relive it. I provided Kelli and Matthew with a gallery of stunning images they can hang on their walls and share with family. At the same time, I created a cinematic highlight video that lets them hear the laughs, feel the emotions, and experience the day all over again.
Recap
After the beautiful church ceremony, we headed to Quarton Lake. The lakeside was a fantastic change of scenery. The green trees and shimmering water were the perfect, relaxed setting for Kelli and Matthew’s portraits. I captured their fun, playful personalities as the sun and the gentle Michigan breeze made everything feel just perfect.
In the end, Kelli and Matthew have a collection of memories that truly tells their love story. From the sacred vows at St. Martin de Porres to the sweet, relaxed moments at Quarton Lake, their wedding day was a dream. If you’re looking for a Michigan Catholic wedding videographer who can capture every single part of your big day—from the formal portraits to the emotional and spoken vows—a hybrid approach is the perfect way to make sure no memory is ever lost. I wish Kelli and Matthew a lifetime of happiness as wonderful as the day I captured for them!
