As a Michigan Catholic photographer there are numerous opportunities to photograph all that the great Catholic faith has to offer. This time, it was the diaconate ordinations of two young seminaries were ordained to the diaconate. These men are part of the Companions of the Cross, a Canadian community of priest, and live in Detroit house and attend Sacred Heart Major Seminary. It is always a great pleasure to work with the Companions. I have had the opportunity to work with them over the last several years and this year I arrived early to get a few portraits before the young men, now deacons, were preparing for the ordination Mass. This year I also added video so please be sure to see that video at the bottom of this most.
Being a Michigan Catholic photographer I will have the opportunity to meet others from around the world. This time, now that we are through the covid years, Archbishop Marcel Damphousse of the dioceses of Ottawa-Cornwall has been able to attend and ordain the young men. It was a great day and let us all continue to pray for our seminarians, deacons, priests, and bishops.
