Michigan Catholic Photographer – Diaconate Ordination Mass

As a Michigan Catholic photographer there are numerous opportunities to photograph all that the great Catholic faith has to offer. This time, it was the diaconate ordinations of two young seminaries were ordained to the diaconate. These men are part of the Companions of the Cross, a Canadian community of priest, and live in Detroit house and attend Sacred Heart Major Seminary. It is always a great pleasure to work with the Companions. I have had the opportunity to work with them over the last several years and this year I arrived early to get a few portraits before the young men, now deacons, were preparing for the ordination Mass. This year I also added video so please be sure to see that video at the bottom of this most.

Kelli & Matthew’s Catholic Wedding at St. Martin de Porres – Warren, MI

As a Michigan Catholic wedding videographer, and photographer, I know a wedding day is a whirlwind of amazing moments and all the feels. For Kelli and Matthew, their recent wedding was a beautiful story I was so happy to help tell, capturing everything with a unique hybrid approach of photography and videography. From the gorgeous St. Martin de Porres Church in Warren, Michigan, to the peaceful setting of Quarton Lake in Birmingham, their day was the perfect mix of tradition and natural beauty.

Catholic Engagement Session at Kensington Metropark

Megan and Brendan chose Kensington Metropark as the setting for their Catholic engagement session, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. With its scenic trails, peaceful waterfront views, and golden evening light, Kensington is such a beautiful place for a relaxed stroll and timeless photos.

We were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous night—clear skies, soft light, and even a few friends flew in and shared in the joy of the evening. Everything came together so naturally, making the session feel effortless and full of warmth.

I’m already looking forward to celebrating their Catholic wedding next year. Until then, I’m excited to share a glimpse into their engagement session and the sweet moments we captured together.

Photos from the Ordination Mass – Archdiocese of Detroit

There are a vast amount of opportunities for Michigan Catholic photography. Most of the time it is weddings, but recently I was able to photograph the Priestly Ordinations at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. These men took their final step to the priesthood as they were ordinated priests. These are always a joyful time and these men will need our continued prayers as they make their way to their new assignments.
